House of Seiko presents Koan, a twenty-year survey of Northern California painter Fred Reichman. Influenced by his Buddhist practice and time with Shunryu Suzuki Roshi, Reichman worked between painting and sculpture, focusing on everyday subjects, studio interiors, and subtle shifts in nature. Using layered alkyd and stippling, his works register time, observation, and restraint.
