Lee Gihun’s solo exhibition presents paintings that move between fantasy and lived experience through a form of fantastic realism. Drawing on the story of Noah’s Ark and reworked Korean painting methods, Lee builds dark, flat fields layered with vivid oil pastel forms. Shaped by a childhood spent between national parks and heavy industry, his work reflects a world where nature and machinery coexist in tension, wonder, and unease.
