Megan Mulrooney presents Lethe’s Tavern, a solo exhibition of paintings by Mishkan. Drawing on myth, mysticism, and memory, Mishkan conjures trance-like scenes where figures dissolve into water, smoke, and shadow. Rooted in the symbolism of the river Lethe and Sufi poetry, her mermaid-like self-portraits float between ecstasy and erasure. Painted in a narcotic palette, the works merge precise anatomy with fluid gesture, invoking both mythic surrealism and contemporary self-reflection.
