Lichtenberg Figure marks Brian DeGraw’s debut with Polina Berlin Gallery, presenting paintings shaped by improvisation, sampling, and intuition. Drawing from music, autobiography, and found imagery, DeGraw shifts toward freer abstraction where figures, instruments, and symbols surface from layered grounds. Built through spontaneous assembly and revision, the works privilege chance over control, treating the artist as a vessel through which images emerge rather than a fixed author.
