*Transcending the Form—Abstract Figurative Painting* features acrylic paintings by participants in Lifelong Studio, the Bronx Museum's free artmaking program for adults 55 and over. Balancing technique and play, the works blur figuration and abstraction across themes of the body, kinship, nature, movement and emotion. The exhibition explores what feels recognizable not only in sight but in feeling.
