Sean Cairns’ Light Bearer, his debut solo exhibition in New York City, reflects his deep connection to nature, rooted in childhood explorations of the woods. Now based in Dallas, he continues to seek moments of serenity in urban creeks and forests, translating these experiences into impressionistic paintings. Using distemper and oil mixed with gathered materials, his layered process captures the meditative beauty of the natural world, blending memory, texture, and atmosphere into his work.
