Lost & Found, Joe Ferriso's solo exhibition, brings together work made over the past three years. Ferriso creates small sculptural paintings and painted sculptures; in this exhibition, functional chairs and lamps coexist with the other work, eschewing the divide between craft and art. Drawing from the Bauhaus ethos, he elevates craft through sensitive color choices and a minimalist aesthetic. Found materials (driftwood, construction waste) are reoriented through placement, each piece becoming a time capsule bearing witness to events in his life, his community, and the world.
