
Following the death of her husband of fifty-four years in May 2024, the artist's work has undergone a profound transformation. Cast paper and molded cardboard portraits have evolved into meditations on loss: faces hide, fragment, protrude, and recede, reflecting the disorientation of mourning. This personal reckoning is intertwined with the artist's anguish over the ongoing assault on the nation's institutions and Constitution. Collaged flyers and protest imagery construct backdrops where private grief and public unrest converge.
