Love Letter brings together sixteen artists who live and work in Toronto — Sandra Brewster, Jorian Charlton, June Clark, Delali Cofie, Sameer Farooq, Oreka James, Bushra Junaid, Natia Lemay, Adewole Louis, Kent Monkman, Native Art Department International, Isabel Okoro, Chiedza Pasipanodya, Tushar Patel, Curtiss Randolph, and Winsom Winsom — across generations and diasporas in one of the world's most multicultural cities. Toronto is not the subject but the environment: a textured, fruitful context for practices that explore identity, pre-colonial histories, and the complexities of place. Curated by Hannah Traore, who was born and raised in Toronto, the exhibition encourages sustained dialogue between the city and New York.
