Fabian Marti’s exhibition Lullaby Essentials is inspired by his experiences as a new father. The artist created a series of surreal, dreamlike paintings based on what he imagines his infant son, Leopold, would enjoy. Marti’s process mirrors the data collection of parenting, observing his child's needs and preferences. The paintings, which range between abstraction and figuration, challenge ideas about taste, prediction, and what makes art appealing, all while inviting a broader audience to connect with them.
