Made to Appear is an exhibition of new works by Viraj Khanna and Brian Robertson, whose mixed-media threaded pieces examine identity, performance, and authenticity in a social media-saturated world. The embroidered surfaces initially read as paintings or digital images, revealing their haptic textile nature only when you get up close. The title names the tension at the heart of the exhibition: the works are between what appears to be seen and what is physically present, between genuine experience and constructed narrative.
