Manoucher Yektai: The Stranger and the Tree is the artist’s first US museum solo exhibition, tracing his evolution from early abstraction to the gestural paintings that made him a key figure of the New York School. Featuring works from 1948 to 1963, the exhibition reveals how Yektai fused Persian artistic traditions with Abstract Expressionism, creating richly textured paintings that explore identity, landscape, memory, and belonging.
