Many A Moonlit Caveat presents new paintings and works on paper by Lynette Yiadom-Boakye across both Jack Shainman Gallery locations, in Tribeca and Chelsea. In Yiadom-Boakye's work, fiction is the condition of freedom. The exhibition takes its cues from the accompanying poem written by the artist—a fable of nocturnal birds who know better than to trust, consume, or be touched by those who would harm them. The Nightingale knows best: to be unseen is often to be truly free.
