Post Times is pleased to present Material Instinct, a group exhibition of fourteen artists whose work emerges from an eccentric material approach, extending the lineage of Post-Minimalism and tactile craft into new territories.
The show features Michael Bala, Austin Ballard, Michaela Bathrick, Blinn & Lambert, Greg Carideo, Florence Carr, Graham Collins, Miranda Fengyuan Zhang Lukas Geronimas, Steph Gonzalez-Turner, Matt Paweski, Ara Peterson, Richard Rezac, and Amy Stober.
The works are often rooted in idiosyncratic yet rigorous processes developed by each artist. They exhibit a haptic intelligence through meticulous craftsmanship in materials such as woven cane, salvaged fabric, plywood, moulding, cardboard, steel, yarn, seashells, clay, and more.
