This exhibition highlights Jazz, Henri Matisse’s 1947 artist book inspired by the circus and theater, recently acquired in 2024. Featuring 20 vibrant stencil prints based on his paper cutouts, the book reflects Matisse’s late-career innovation and joy in “drawing with scissors.” Presented alongside other artist books by Matisse, this display offers a rare opportunity to view Jazz unbound and explore his bold approach to illustration and design.
