Maybe not at Anton Kern Gallery marks Liz Larner’s first major New York presentation since 2022. Using clay as provocation, Larner creates wall-mounted and floor sculptures that hover between solidity and suspension. Iridescent, geologic surfaces shift with light, while asteroid-inspired works fuse cosmic imagery with tactile, hand-formed materiality. Resisting function or fixed meaning, her pieces dwell in ambiguity and perpetual transformation.
