In Milk of the Earth, Antonia Kuo explores personal and ancestral histories through metallurgy, alchemy, and Chinese painting. Using silver gelatin prints, ceramics, and video, she investigates extraction—of earth, metal, and the maternal body. Her sculptures and imagery reflect on voids, transformation, and memory, from her family’s foundry to cosmic origins. Kuo draws connections between creation, destruction, and the unseen forces shaping material and human experience.
