81 Leonard Gallery, in partnership with Union Theological Seminary, presents Miserere, a retrospective of Marilyn Seven’s work curated by Sebastian A. T. Grant. Across six decades, Seven has explored faith’s struggle against human suffering, confronting The Problem of Evil. The exhibition highlights her Miserere, Torture Series, and Black Paintings, arranged as a triptych to reflect personal devotion. Through expressionism, figurative pain, and abstraction, she seeks light within darkness.
