Moments of Being presents Anina Major’s continued engagement with Bahamian plaiting as a contemporary practice, examining bodily awareness, cultural memory, and fragmented histories. Drawing from African and European influences shaped by displacement, the works use abstraction to address gaps in the archive as sites for reinvention. Sculpture and performance explore tension between fragility and endurance through material, movement, and collective form.
