Move the Plot presents a new body of work by Christine Howard Sandoval examining layered histories embedded in Bay Area and Central Valley wetlands. Using adobe forms, plant based dyes, and modular steel structures, the work places archival traces of Indigenous knowledge and resistance in dialogue with contemporary engineering systems that continue to reshape marsh landscapes. The exhibition marks a return to San José, where the artist grew up.
