Nabila is a kinetic sculpture by Mexico City based artist Berenice Olmedo. Suspended from cords and activated by a wall mounted operator, the anthropomorphic form is constructed from medical plastics, aluminum, and a pediatric orthosis. Olmedo reuses prosthetic devices to examine standardized expectations of the body and alternative models of embodiment.
