BLUM presents NAKED, a new series of paintings by Tokyo-based artist Tomoo Gokita. Shifting from found imagery to figures drawn from memory, Gokita crafts surreal, part-human forms that merge psychological tension with dreamlike invention. In this body of work, he reimagines the female nude with sharp wit and unsettling color, referencing pop culture and art history. The resulting figures defy objectification, asserting presence through distortion, humor, and eerie intimacy.
