Casey Kaplan is pleased to present Nearly 31, a group exhibition commemorating the 30th anniversary of the gallery’s founding on March 1st, 1995. Featuring all twenty-eight artists from the program, the exhibition gathers new and early works from across the gallery’s three-decade history in New York City.
Originally occupying a five-hundred square-foot loft space on Broadway in SoHo, the gallery has transitioned through four subsequent locations, moving to lower Greene Street in 1996, West 14th Street in 2000, West 21st Street in 2005, and in 2015, to our current 16,000 sq. ft. location on West 27th Street in the Flower District. Casey Kaplan and its artists have grown in parallel, crossing geography, generations, and artistic disciplines to host over 200 exhibitions, including the first US-based presentations of artists who have since become mainstays of contemporary art dialogues.
