Cristin Tierney Gallery presents No place out of the wind, Debbi Kenote’s first solo exhibition with the gallery. The artist creates shaped oil paintings built on custom stretchers that extend into space, treating the canvas as both structure and surface. Influenced by craft traditions, sculpture, and poetry, Kenote’s works combine geometric and natural forms with layered paint, transforming the act of painting into a process of construction and spatial exploration.
