Whitney Bedford’s *Nocturnes* presents two new series of paintings, *Nocturnes* and *Leda and the Swan*. The latest chapter of her Veduta series turns from sunsets to moonlit landscapes and seascapes, layering neon trees and cacti native to Southern California over underpaintings drawn from Corot, Avery, Pissarro and Frederic Edwin Church, to reflect on humanity’s relationship to nature.
