Francesca Gabbiani's "Nom de Guerre" marks her return to encaustic, alongside works on paper and a bronze-patinated broom. Carved wax canvases reveal layered color under a white haze, some echoing her two-sided artist's book "Bible," others the drift of dandelion seeds, while seven hand-painted collages show ceremonial and fertility plants with half-hidden text. It explores plant lore, ritual, coded knowledge and resistance.
