MC Sparks’ Nonstop transforms painting into a record of bodily and personal transition. Rooted in their southern upbringing and experience of hormone therapy, the works trace change through rhythmic mark-making—dots, spots, and layered gestures that chart time, repetition, and endurance. Self-portraits oscillate between visibility and erasure, capturing transformation as both process and persistence. Sparks redefines masculinity as something fluid, ongoing, and perpetually in motion.
