Kresiah Mukwazhi’s first solo exhibition at kaufmann repetto, opening in Milan and New York, presents Ndakangavara and Nyika irikure nezuva, two bodies of work rooted in her engagement with femme sex workers in Harare. Using lingerie and secondhand materials, she critiques patriarchy, colonialism, and imposed beauty standards, while celebrating feminine resilience and empowerment. Her vivid textile collages honor women’s strength and reclaim the body as a force for liberation.
