Ode to Slowness is a solo exhibition by Montreal-based artist Tuan Vu. Through figurative paintings of women in garden and domestic settings, Vu draws on the flattened forms of Les Nabis to reflect on Vietnamese history under French colonial rule. The works consider stillness and leisure as forms of cultural continuity and resistance, foregrounding femininity, memory, and place.
