Old Cape Cod is an exhibition of plein air paintings by Susan Chen that reflects a shift in her practice from portraiture toward landscape. Drawing from repeated summer visits, the works depict coastal paths, marshes, gardens, and changing shorelines observed over time. Painted on site, the landscapes register weather, movement, and environmental change, treating place itself as a subject of sustained attention.
