BAC launches Open Center, expanding its space beyond traditional gallery exhibitions into a hub where ideas, artists, and community intersect. Throughout April, the gallery transforms into a communal workspace for artists-in-residence working across a variety of media, exploring relationships between art, nature, culture, and site. Community partners will use the space to connect diverse audiences for thoughtful programming and public engagement. As BAC approaches its 60th anniversary in 2027, Open Center reflects the organization's commitment to working more expansively with artists and amplifying marginalized and vulnerable communities.
