Otani Workshop’s exhibition presents whimsical, humanlike figures in ceramics, bronze, FRP, and paintings. Created in a custom installation, the works reflect traditional Japanese techniques infused with pop sensibility. Drawing from Shigaraki clay and local materials, Otani shapes, fires, and glazes each piece with expressive freedom. His figures—often solitary—capture childhood spontaneity, inviting empathy, playfulness, and quiet reflection.
