Out in Front of the Back of Beyond presents new sculptures by Daniel Wiener—multi-hued, viscerally evocative works that test conventions of sculpture in the round. Anchored by the large freestanding work Polyphony Beyond the Baton's Thrust, the exhibition also includes smaller works engaging the space between outward display and inner complexity through transformation, hybridity, and recursive variation. Transgressively decorative, the works grapple with the full range of psychic life: delight, humor, fear, and loss.
