Out of Body, Mona Kowalska’s second exhibition with Kerry Schuss Gallery, transforms corporeal references into metaphorical passageways. Expanding from her textile background, she creates surreal assemblages and altered domestic objects across varied media. Works include hemp rope floor sculptures taught by Peruvian artisans, evoking absent bodies, and paradoxical forms like feathered hands. Born in Warsaw and founder of fashion label A Détacher, Kowalska has recently shifted to art-making.
