SITUATIONS at 12.26 LA presents Outpour by Ellen Jong. The exhibition centers on The Three Shades, three life-sized feminine figures formed from dehydrated ink through which liquid ink continues to flow. Referencing Rodin’s sculpture, Jong reimagines the figures as agents of transformation. Ink reliefs on paper derived from ancient Chinese vessel silhouettes extend the work’s focus on containment, release, and material change.
