Swiss Institute presents overturns, Nolan Oswald Dennis’s first U.S. institutional solo exhibition, exploring decolonization through a “Black consciousness of space.” Inspired by Sylvia Wynter, Dennis critiques Western epistemes and reimagines planetary knowledge. The exhibition features celestial and terrestrial works, radical dialogues, and pedagogical installations. Accompanied by The Black Earth Study Club and a forthcoming monograph, it fosters collective learning on anti-colonial thought and liberation.
