pasajes is Luz Carabaño's inaugural solo exhibition with Casemore Gallery, presenting paintings, photographs, and drawings by the Los Angeles-based Venezuelan artist together for the first time. The exhibition reveals the various stages of her practice: from color photographs of everyday shapes, shadows, and textures in Los Angeles and abroad, to small-scale oil paintings with porcelain-like finishes on irregularly shaped canvases, to drawings on Okawara paper that echo the artist's immediate interactions with the outside world. Viewed together, these works create a pasaje through which distinctive moments of the artist's life enter for the viewer.
