Higher Pictures presents over 300 images from Keisha Scarville’s Passports series, the most extensive exhibition since its 2012 inception. Using her Guyanese father’s teenage passport photo, Scarville explores identity, migration, and memory. Through pigment, collage, and handwork, she transforms his image into evocative, tactile objects that challenge perception. The works examine self-definition, history, and the immigrant experience, urging viewers to engage beyond the surface.
