People Make This Place examines the history of the San Francisco Art Institute through works by more than 50 alumni and former faculty represented in the museum’s collection. Spanning the postwar period to recent decades, the exhibition situates artistic production alongside archival materials from the SFAI Archive, reflecting the school’s role in fostering experimentation, education, and community.
