Sabine Marcelis: Phases presents an entirely new body of work conceived for Salon 94 Design, rooted in the cycles and phenomena of the natural world — lunar phases, earthshine, gravity, atmospheric color, the gradual transition between darkness and daylight. Twelve cast resin Lune sconces, each named for a full moon of the calendar year, contain integrated LEDs tunable from cool to warm, their color transforming as light temperature meets resin. Nebula spheres reveal colored cores as centers of gravity made visible; Orb and Phase mirrors dissolve orientation by filtering reflection through color. Nothing is presented as fixed — every object remains in dialogue with its environment, responding to light, room conditions, and the body moving around it.
