Recent collaged canvas prints return this gesture to the physical realm, printed on canvas and mounted on wood panels with deliberate economy of moves. Bearing traces of digital origins — pixelated fragments, the hard edge of the rubber stamp tool — the works reduce their sources to irrelevance while creating physical objects that operate visually: Pictures in the sense Douglas Crimp defined, images that disorient by referencing something inevitably absent.
