R & Company presents Piece by Piece, the second exhibition dedicated to Evelyn and Jerome Ackerman, focusing on their mosaic panels. Influenced by the “Good Design” movement, the Ackermans bridged mass production and handmade craftsmanship in mid-century modernism. The mosaics, designed by Evelyn and produced in Mexico City from 1957 to 1965, feature hand-cut Venetian tesserae tiles and reflect a remarkable cross-cultural collaboration. Each piece is unique, with subtle variations showcasing the artisans' craft.
