planchette brings together sculpture and painting by Rachel Harrison, Liz Larner, and Rebecca Morris, three artists whose parallel practices have shaped the reinvigoration of contemporary abstraction. The works embrace and acknowledge the art of the past alongside the noise and psychosis of contemporary culture. They can’t primarily be understood to be about the imagery they incorporate, or the narratives of their production. Instead, each artist generates their own visual language to read, shaped by what they leave out or leave behind.
