*Play Date* examines the relationship between toys, imagination, and artistic practice, drawing on the seminal 1975 exhibition *Artists Make Toys*. Bringing together Chris Burden’s *Spyder-Man* with new works by 69 artists, the exhibition considers toys as vehicles for imaginative possibility and as objects that preserve the capacity for play and reverie into adulthood. Its accompanying poker-deck catalog extends this premise by functioning as both archive and artwork.
