Poems From Here presents new paintings by Tessa Greene O’Brien inspired by the landscapes and communities of Maine. Working with dyed and stitched fabrics later painted with oil, she builds layered surfaces that retain traces of their making. Figures reappear within environments shaped by ecology, memory, and human activity, where plants, people, and terrain share equal presence. The works reflect O’Brien’s close observation of place and the interconnected systems that shape it.
