Poems From Here marks Tessa Greene O’Brien’s first New York solo exhibition, presenting new paintings rooted in the landscapes of Maine. Using dyed, cut, and sewn fabrics layered with oil paint, she constructs surfaces that retain traces of their making. Figures, plants, and terrain share equal presence, reflecting close observation of place and lived experience. Presented across two galleries, the works treat painting as both material process and record of life within a changing environment.
