Present Tense (Roll Call) is a wall installation by Stephanie Syjuco that examines radical pedagogy and the politics of education. Drawing from archival materials on student activism and the origins of ethnic studies, the work assembles text and imagery into a fragmented visual field. Through photographic strategies and collaborative research, the installation considers how knowledge is produced, preserved, erased, and contested.
