Proposal for a Monument presents new work by Yashua Klos, featuring large-scale woodblock print collages that examine the construction of Black identity in relation to the built environment. Revisiting imagery developed since 2015, Klos combines portrait busts with architectural materials to address urban history, segregation, and survival, proposing presence itself as a form of monumentality.
