Randy Wray’s Hothouse at Karma LA gathers new oil abstractions he grew over two years in what he called a studio “hothouse.” Earthy, virescent forms turn lustrous and crystallized; dense topographical surfaces hold burnished and scarred intervals as he leaves and returns to compositions. Transmissions—branching lines, bilateral symmetries—hint at unconscious drives while geometry briefly teases perspective against amorphous bloom.
