Driss Ouadahi’s painting practice draws on his background in architecture and his experience as an émigré to examine migration, social mobility, and cultural identity. Using line, surface, and color, he constructs spatial illusions that reference architectural structures and modernist grids. Cityscapes, fences, and tiled passages recur across his work as part of an ongoing, autobiographical investigation of social and psychological space.
